The Dutch were the only contact with the west for almost 350 years, so they did. Huis Ten Bosch is a more modern reproduction and Google had trouble identifying which country they were taken in.
Oysters are a local delicacy in Hiroshima. They have a different flavour to Australian oysters (or American oysters). The place where I had lunch does them steamed in the shell. Also had scallop nigiri sushi.
It certainly looks like the Dutch traders had an influence on the architecture. An interesting Asian/Euro fusion.
