Oysters are a local delicacy in Hiroshima. They have a different flavour to Australian oysters (or American oysters). The place where I had lunch does them steamed in the shell. Also had scallop nigiri sushi.
Station Cats
Hirado station has a pair of cats. This isn't that unusual as a station in Wakayama actually has a cat for a station master.

Not much rain. Temperatures started in the mid 20s. Okinawa was high 20s. Honshu and Kyushu has dropped to mid teens. Tokunoshima was low 20s.
