It's more Yellowstone. Sakurajima is the active peak in the centre of a supervolcano. The caldera is the bay. It quite often let's of steam. Last major eruption back in the early 1900s converted Sakurajima from an island to a peninsula.
Oysters are a local delicacy in Hiroshima. They have a different flavour to Australian oysters (or American oysters). The place where I had lunch does them steamed in the shell. Also had scallop nigiri sushi.
Hahaha, just hope it doesn’t go all Vesuvius on you - or is it more of a ‘relaxed’ Hawaiian style volcano?
