The Lion Beer Hall in Ginza, Tokyo is the cities oldest German style Beer Hall. It first opened in 1899 and survived both the 1923 earthquake and the World War II bombings it is still popular today. It's owned by Sapporo brewery.
The staff at the ANA Intercontinental Tokyo hotel kindly gave me a nice bottle of wine for my birthday. It's a very drinkable Californian Cabernet Sauvignon.
